We are #LadiesOnAMission; a group focused on impact-based capacity building projects and youth-led programs for girls! SwahiliBox Ladies is a subset of SwahiliBox, - a project of M-Power CBO - which is a Social Enterprise headquartered in Mombasa – Kenya that focuses on the creation of conducive environments that facilitate the growth and sustainability of technology communities within Mombasa. We carry out impact-based capacity building projects and youth-led programs that promote and support women’s socio-economic and technological empowerment. Our belief is that the future of the world depends on the brightest minds in our communities put to the service of all, so, we strive towards nurturing the brilliant minds of young girls. We inspire and empower them to realize their full potential and progress onto university, college, and workplace as independent, visionary, confident and innovative individuals with a community development and change making mindset.

To empower girls to become impactful leaders, change agents and technology innovators through STEM engagement, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Training.

A community full of self-reliant, creative, and capable girls who are impactful leaders, change agents and technology innovators.

Our ethos is to adopt a program delivery approach underpinned by a sense of moral purpose and tireless commitment to community service, whilst upholding the values of promoting creativity and innovation, passion, and pride, by doing everything to the best of our abilities and ensuring nobody's standards will be greater than our own.

We summarize this ethos as ‘Creating a Lasting Legacy through Empowering with a Purpose’.

At SwahiliBox Ladies, we work towards actualizing our vision and drive our mission through a series of programs specially crafted to create maximum value and impact.

(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) training for intelligent but economically disadvantaged girls in Kenya. Our STEM Girl program is geared towards equipping girls from the age of 11 with necessary technology skills and competencies to meet the technology demands of our growing nation and training them in understanding that there is a link between science, technology and development.

Our INSPIRE program exposes girls who are already pursuing STEM related courses and fields to real life and on screen role models. We engage engineers, developers, executives, and entrepreneurs to teach and motivate the next generation. Our guest speakers, mentors, and instructors are leaders in their fields, working in positions our girls aspire to attain.

Our GIRL’s DIG IT program brings girls together, group, and community members to share and improve each other's skills while working on real hands-on projects.

This program educates girls about what it means to take a great idea and turn it into a business they can own. Girls interested in becoming successful business owners are taught about idea generation, Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management/financial literacy, People Skills and Business Ethics, and get to be mentored by female leaders who are accomplished entrepreneurs as well as engage projects and activities.
