PROGRAMMES

At SwahiliBox Ladies, we work towards actualizing our vision and drive our mission through a series of programs specially crafted to create maximum value and impact.

in

STEM GIRL:

(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) training for intelligent but economically disadvantaged girls in Kenya. Our STEM Girl program is geared towards equipping girls from the age of 11 with necessary technology skills and competencies to meet the technology demands of our growing nation and training them in understanding that there is a link between science, technology and development.

in

INSPIRE:

Our INSPIRE program exposes girls who are already pursuing STEM related courses and fields to real life and on screen role models. We engage engineers, developers, executives, and entrepreneurs to teach and motivate the next generation. Our guest speakers, mentors, and instructors are leaders in their fields, working in positions our girls aspire to attain.

 GIRLS DIG IT:

Our GIRL’s DIG IT program brings girls together, group, and community members to share and improve each other's skills while working on real hands-on projects.

 MAKERSHUB:

Operated & managed by SwahiliBox Ladies in partnership with Hatua Likoni, MakersHub is a micro-fabrication and innovation lab funded under the French Embassy in Kenya’s Social Fund for Development (SFD) and established since 2016 as a signature initiative of the Making the Makers project by M-Power CBO(SwahiliBox) . It is a small-scale electronics and physical computing lab that employs the Internet of Things (IoT) and programming as the two main technical skills imparted on program beneficiaries to boost their creativity & innovation.
